Julia's Bartering Terms !
I am seeking ways to escape the capitalist black hole that humans have gotten sucked into, and to give back to and support my community. I'm always open to trading skills and goods with people who make, grow, or do interesting things.
Reach out via email with what you're offering and what you're hoping to get in return. I'll let you know if it feels like a fair exchange, and we can work out the details from there. I'm flexible, and open to creative proposals! if you're unsure whether something would work, just ask :) If you don't hear back from me within a couple of weeks, I probably missed your message.
I'm not interested in calculating a "fair market value" or making sure the hours "add up." Trades don't need to be equal, just meaningful to both of us. If what I'm offering is useful to you and what you're offering is useful to me, that's enough.
Before we finalize a trade, we'll agree on exactly what's being exchanged: what's included, what isn't, and a rough timeline. For anything involving custom work on either side, I'll give you my lead time.
Just reach out! I'd rather have an honest conversation than leave anyone feeling weird about it. I take the trades I agree to seriously and expect the same.
Some trades work great remotely (design work, mixes, shipped goods), while others need to happen in person (massage, haircuts, produce). I'm based in Seattle, please note location when reaching out if it's relevant.
Everything I've listed is high on my wish list. I am not particularly interested in acquiring physical goods outside of what's listed, but I am open to hearing about lots of offers.
